Hyundai Motor America news resource earns prestigious Stevie Award

WINNIPEG (June 30, 2015) – Hyundai Motor America’s ground-breaking new on-line media resource has earned the company a Gold Stevie® Award as part of the American Business Awards program for 2015.

The site http://www.HyundaiNews.com, developed by DMT Development Systems Group Inc. of Winnipeg, boasts a long list of innovative features to help business and automotive media cover Hyundai’s vast range of activities in the fast-paced auto industry. The site was judged in the Best On-line Press Room category.

The award was presented at the American Business Awards banquet in Chicago on Monday, June 22 at the Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park Hotel with more than 400 nominees in attendance. It is the second Stevie Award for an on-line media resource created by DMT.

“More than ever, journalists demand information that is accurate, easy to get to, is visually stimulating and helpful in crafting their stories,” says Chris Hosford, executive director, corporate communications for Hyundai Motor America. “With this understanding, extensive research and the counsel of the DMT team, we’ve constructed a media site is a great fit for journalists’ needs, as demonstrated by the Stevie Award for Best On-Line Press Room.”

The site’s simple, compelling visual design is supported by a host of easy-to-access features that include a social media hub with a ‘Trending’ bar that keeps users apace of popular topics, a powerful search and filter function, a clever ‘Mile Counter’ that monitors the progress of the Tucson Fuel Cell vehicle, and many other useful innovations throughout the site.

“More information — in more forms for more users — has been the constant quest for car-makers that seek to really serve their media audiences,” says Glen Demetrioff, president of DMT, “and Hyundai Motor America has consistently been a leader in meeting that demand. The company’s commitment to innovation not only earns awards, it earns the respect of its media followers – something that isn’t given easily.”

DMT is a pioneer in the establishment and evolution of media information sites for the auto industry. Today, most major car companies deploy some version of a unique site for media information. The development of news media information sites complements DMT’s core business of creating centrally-controlled, easily administered information systems designed to share data between car dealers and the companies.

DMT has designed and created Hyundai’s media portals since 2011.

For nearly 20 years, DMT has provided the global automotive industry with cutting-edge software focused on improving lead generation and management, information integration, and customer relations for both manufacturers and dealers.
