DMT nets prestigious international award for Volvo Car Group Newsroom

WINNIPEG (August 31, 2016) – DMT Development Systems Group Inc., together with Volvo Car Group have been honoured with a Silver Stevie in the Best Online Press Room category earlier this month during the 13th Annual International Business Awards (IBA). The award for the redesigned Volvo Car Group Global Newsroom is the tenth win for DMT’s industry-leading PR & Media Site platform.

Volvo Car Group’s Global Newsroom (http://media.volvocars.com/) was transitioned to a responsive web design by DMT in 2016. The new implementation provides an optimal viewing experience across a wide range of devices, including mobile phones, tablets, and desktop computers. The update also introduced leading-edge cloud file integration for mobile devices, a first in its class, and applied Volvo Car Group’s updated brand identity throughout the site while improving overall site navigation.

Judges praised the site with comments such as, “Fantastic work! Great results, modern and very easy to navigate,” and, “Hard to imagine a more attractive or more functional newsroom,” among numerous other accolades.

“Volvo Car Group tirelessly strives to deliver a premium, efficient and easy-to-use experience to the journalistic community and we’re thrilled to see their effort recognized with such a prestigious award,” says Glen Demetrioff, founder and chief executive of DMT. “They are a formidable partner and we consider ourselves fortunate to have had the opportunity to work closely with them over the last 15 years. Their dedication and commitment to bringing a premium experience to the journalists is well rewarded by this noteworthy achievement on the international stage.”

Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning “crowned,” the International Business Awards are the world’s premier business awards. Honouring organizations of all types and sizes and the people behind them, the Stevies recognize outstanding performances in the workplace worldwide. This year’s winners were determined by more than 200 executives worldwide who participated in the judging of a record total of more than 3,800 nominations from 60 nations.

“This year’s IBA judges were treated to many remarkable and inspiring stories of achievement around the world,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards. “We look forward to sharing many of these stories with people around the world over the coming months, through the Stevie Awards blog and social media channels, with the hope that they will inspire and instruct the next generation of business achievers.”
